I have widely searched the web for a certain soccer game that is popularly appreciated by fans worldwide until I discovered Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 when it was released in the market. Fans worldwide started to notice PES 2010 and nearly stopped playing the other soccer game. I myself noticed the difference in playing both. I highly recommend this game to all soccer addicts because of its advance graphics and of its variety of strategic actions. If you are indeed a gamer and a fan, this game is very entertaining. It will test your skills when it comes to teamwork, agility and strength. It focuses on how versatile you are as a player and how you win the battle. Considering the pitch and the kick, it will positively blow your mind. For other soccer games out there, you guys need to back off and improve your battle plan because Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 is ultimately the winner the battlefield.

As the ninth installment of the PES series of games, PES 2010 features some of the previous version’s improved gameplay, graphics, online experience, and AI. This installment also features new functions that caught my attention when I played it for testing. Let’s take a look. Yes, at first glance it seemed that the game looked like there was nothing changed in it. However, at a closer look, I noticed that PES 2010 has better visuals, moves, player expressions, movements, and animations. They all change according to the current condition of the game on the field. Enhancements were also applied on dribbling, shots, and individual skills display. Gameplay has been improved as well where goalkeepers are now more versatile. Penalties are also strictly implemented. Online experience is also better with updated downloadable contents (DLCs) regularly made available. The game’s AI is also better with more strict referees to implement the game’s rules and catch violators. Aside from the improved aspects of the game, PES 2010 introduced a new strategy control, environment effects, and the 360-degree control

Pros

  • Allows analog stick control for PC users
  • Offers managerial control in its career mode

Cons

  • Some game editions are not available for PC users

I have to admit that PES 2010 is definitely a very good game in its franchise. For me, it has a better gameplay than its past editions. It is more balance and it has a 360-degree engine that makes every match look very real. I am also very impressed on how they improved the shooting and ball control. It is more precise and has a more realistic approach. The game’s graphics also improved a lot. The sounds are also very striking. Plus, it has a superb list of soundtracks. Also, the crowds are more energetic and very festive. I noticed though, that the commentary is still quite boring. I like the enhancement of the AIs. They are more aggressive and wise, which makes it very challenging. However, this game still lacks an official license compared to FIFA. Nonetheless, PES 2010 is a fantastic football game with realistic atmosphere and intense gaming experience. This game will not disappoint you. It is one of the best.

Pros

  • AIs are more active and wise
  • Shooting and ball control are accurate

Cons

  • In-game commentary is quite boring
