Paintbrush is the simplest app ever created by mankind aside from the world known Microsoft Paint. And it´s basically the same thing. You get a white canvas and several tools that will help you edit your image or create a new one. There are paint buckets, brushes, lines and shapes…The basics. Unlike other professional tools, this program doesn´t work with layers, so you have to be careful when overlapping elements, since you won´t be able to use them separately again. Even though the outcome won´t be the best, you can use this light program for quick sketches or drawings involving a ton of geometry, since it packs a ton of these pre-installed. Another good use for Paintbrush is to zoom in all you can and draw pixel by pixel to create pixel art. This is super useful if you are into retro-looking videogames or things like that, since it allows you to create and edit sprites with no effort.

  • It´s so simple you will cry
  • A light program with minimal footprint

  • It offers way less tools than others
